Ten Hag: I have nothing to do with Rashford's renewal

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag addresses the media ahead of the Premier League match day 29 game at Newcastle United.

Ten Hag said at a news conference: "I have high hopes for Marcus Rashford to return, he has been training but has had to undergo treatment, had to go through individual training, today

when Rashford's contract is renewed, Ten Hag replied :

“We never do that in the media, it's an internal process, we focus on winning games and of course planning for the future, so basically we're working on it, it's all about agents, it's all about it to manager John Murtaugh's question, Rashford and I are focused on performance, I want him and David De Gea to stay," he told me again, I have to wait if it's true, I'm happy we do really keep him because he's a very important player in our team.

Regarding Rashford's development, he commented: "It's not just about speaking, I'm not Harry Potter, it's like a process, so you mean a lot of instruments, it's about composing, it's about the way you play , it's about training, it's about the talks, about the coaches, those who work with him say a lot about him because he has the qualities for the Newcastle game."
