Guardiola gets away with it after sensational celebration at Liverpool-Manchester City match(2023)

 

Manchester City first-team manager Pep Guardiola escaped the FA sanction after celebrating one of the Citizens' #039; Goal against Liverpool on Saturday. Manchester City beat Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium but Guardiola caused controversy when he celebrated Julian Alvarez's first-half goal in the 27th minute.

After the celebration scene, Guardiola was criticized for going to the Liverpool fans to clap his hands and then went to the Reds' substitutes to celebrate in front of them and book left-back Kostas Tsimikas, who is alongside Arthur Apple Tree warmed up.

The Catalan manager asked the Liverpool players to shake his hand during his celebration and Arthur accepted his request and smiled at Guardiola's reaction while Tsimikas kept his cool and walked away from the Manchester City manager, leading the Reds to back his decision to greet.

, But according to the Liverpool Echo, Pep Guardiola will not face retrospective sanctions from the English Football Association for provocative behavior during a game.

There has been much speculation as to whether Guardiola could be penalized under the FA's Code of Conduct and would not behave inappropriately or provocatively during a game, as happened at the start of the early-season brawl between the former bosses of Chelsea and Tottenham, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte.
